Bazoge en Pareds.

As one approaches this quiet village that nestles in the peaceful countryside of the south Vendee one cannot fail to see the striking tower of the Donjon, it can literally be seen from many kilometers away standing like a castle tower from don qixote's Spain.
This Medieval Donjon has been restored to its formal glory and is open to the public as a museum.

The medieval gardens are also open to the public and contains a good collect of plants and herbs that would have been grown in later times.
There is also an excellent pigeon house which has been restored.
Also of note in Bazoge is the medieval church and the Restaurant the Auberge de la Donjon.
