Rocher
Le Rocher is in the commune of Longeville-sur-Mer which despite its name is some way from the beach, it is the end of the 8 kilometres of beach that run north from La Tranche sur Mer and include the beaches of La Terriere and Les Conches .
Le Rocher as its name suggests is the start of a rocky patch of coast line, it is less sheltered by the Isle de Re, and because of that and the rocks off-shore seaweed can collect along this beach after a storm.

number of shops, cafes and restaurants close to the beach and there is a large
car park almost on the beach.
It is easy to find being just off the D105, the road running from La Tranche-sur-Mer to Longville-sur-Mer.
