Beaches
of the Vendee
Moving north from Sion-sur-l'Ocean the stretch of beach up to Saint-Jean-de-Monts contains seven beaches the Plage de Riez is the closest to Sion-sur-l’Ocean and next the Plage La Parée Preneau.
The beach here is wide and even at high water there is still a large expanse of fine sand.
There is a good size car park in the dunes behind the beach and the forest of the Pays de Monts runs behind the dunes.
The beach has surveillance during the high season
Away from the main beach, is an unofficial nudist beach.
