On the road
from Lucon to Les Sables d'Olonne in the village of St,Cry en Talmondais is the
tropical gardens of the Court D'Aron.
Opened in 1977 the gardens bears witness to the micro-climate of the Vendee region.
Tour the gardens and discover a wealth of botanical treasures. Originally famous for its "lotus lillies" you will now find Icelandic poppies, iris from Japan, papyus from Egypt, towering bamboos, eucalyptus groves, Chinese Palms and many other specimens.
There are aquatic gardens with waterfalls and fountains, a Japanese garden,rose garden, a traditional Vendeen homestead and a 350 m² topical greenhouses and new in 2007 was a walking trail and new aquactic garden.
