Even though the Vendee doesn't have an international Airport of its own if you are holidaying in the area it could not be easier to fly in. There is nowhere more than a hour away from an international airport with lowcost airlines plus some regular scheduled airline.

For the north of the Vendee then Nantes international is only just outside the Department, the same for the South with daily flights into La Rochelle international. A further option is Poitiers and even Limoges.
